Hi, I'm Tamara! đŸ‘‹đŸ»

I'm a junior UX and service designer with a rich and varied professional background.

Over the course of my professional and personal experience I've been introduced to diverse communities of people with different needs.

I've worked with children (and families of children) with both physical and cognitive disabilities, including neurodiversity; with displaced people with English as a second language (ESL) and no tech skills, adjusting to a life in a new culture; with tourists in travel and hospitality industry who struggled with navigation and booking services; in EdTech with online learners from all over the world during the worldwide pandemic; with freelancers and agencies within non-profit, tech and social good sector.

All of my experiences included problem-solving and different levels of accessibility challenges, so I've decided to make it my focus and goal, as a designer, to improve processes and experiences at every stage of a user's journey, particularly focusing on inclusivity and accessibility when it comes to language, (dis)ability and tech-literacy barriers.
I was raised in Croatia, in a multi-national family and environment, splitting my time between different languages, alphabets, religions, frequently dealing with a adjusting to different systems, terminology and way of life.
I studied sociology at uni for 2 years before dropping out to move to the UK at the age of 22 and have since lived in and visited other countries.
I'm currently splitting my time between the UK and EU (with right to work in both), and am open to work in either.
